She isn't really cooperating with a good look and I'm not sure I have got the ointment on the spot every time but I do think it looks a little less red. I will get Sophie to properly help me later I think

That looks quite frightening in your photo, no wonder you were worried. Hope it is clearing up quickly and that Lilly is a little more cooperative when Sophie is there to help.

Update on Lilly's little red flower.....

So we had an initial week of me putting the cream on not very effectively, so then Sophie did it and it seemed to get a little better so we stopped It then seemed to get more irritated with more licking and my SIL noticed some pink staining on her light-coloured kitchen floor tiles when we were on holiday.

Back to the vets.....another week of the same cream, with vaseline on in between, and full dose of Previcox (we don't use this regularly anymore) for pain relief with slight improvement, so on for another week and again, still not cleared completely.
This time we saw the same vet as last time (always helps!). We also mentioned a few days of a gunky split nostril, no eye problems or obvious cold symptoms.
He thinks both issues may be linked, and that it could be some form of autoimmune problem, based on the areas affected, and the fact that the vulva had responded to steroid on the areas we managed to get it applied (the outside, but not inside the lips).
We have a course of steroids to try - 20mg for 5 days, then 10mg for 5 days then stop with a review in 2 weeks. If things aren't any better he suggested a veterinary dermatologist.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
