Little Peggie

Karen is my best friend , she has suffered from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma for many years and overcome many hurdles including bone marrow transplant from her brother . Recently , she had a routine mamogram where cancer was found , not related to her NHL , so she underwent surgery to remove and then had gruelling weeks of treatment . Throughout all of this, her little dog Peggie has been her sanity saver , Karen and her husband were unable to have children and so Peggie was the focus of their world , a grand little terrier who always got along with our dogs and like Nelly , was quite a placid little soul .
Peggie passed away at the Vets this morning after suffering a massive heart attack , Karen was with her and is devastated . Peggie has coped well with leaky valves for three years, was on medication and doing very well for her 12 years of age .
Bless you little girl , you will be so very missed xxxx

Karen rang me earlier this afternoon , she was crying and said sorry for crying . I told her, this is me you`re talking to , me who knows exactly how you are feeling , so cry away my dear friend ,and use my shoulder any time . I will buy them a memorial type present , as it was Karen and Franco ( he is Italian ) who bought my lovely rose called Our Millie and then the rose called Heres Sam . I know that she will cope , she is a strong lady because she has had to be , but my heart breaks for them both xx

That was heartbreaking to read @kateincornwall, your poor friend has gone through so much and now her best friend, who got her through, has died. It will be so painful for her, she has you however and you will be a lifeline for her. x
