Not when you realise what the cost maybe. Unfortunately like a lot of things its fashionable people want it whether it's healthy or not.

I have a friend that breeds Dalmatians. They're super careful with the health testing and puppies are first tested just after 6 weeks.

So far, from 6 litters they've had 100% of puppies with good hearing.

I’ve just asked the breeder and both blue eyed pups’ eyes and hearing were tested at the same time as Ted’s vet check and they are both fine.

That's cool did they do the full hearing test or just distraction? Not many vets do the full tests it's very similar to the one they do on babies it's fascinating. You need specialist equipment in order to send the correct tones and pips so you can see if the brain is hearing. I wonder if the do mobile testing. It's Chris's field he's set up all the baby testing for the east Midlands and I keep telling him he should do puppies. Can you imagine how much fun it would be.

I got out a tube of liver paste loved by @Candy’s Joy. Ted wagged his whole body he enjoyed it so much!

He has her eyes.

Also, she looks sooooo soft. I remember the little Cavalier from our puppy class and he was so soft and gentle compared to our shouty, overconfident landshark with the waterproof coat.

‘Little’ Ted is now 7 kilos!

He hates the car crate and throws up every journey with nervous panting and drooling. So I’ve got a car seat thingie and he’s just fine in it.

He‘s a scruffy mutt just now - first puppy groom coming up on Tuesday.

It‘s 5kg but he no longer needs lifting so all is well.
