Little Ted 😊

I’ve been having trouble getting Ted to walk on a loose lead. I don’t have nerve pain in my hands any more but having non-working hands for months has made my arthritis much worse. So any pulling hurts - and stopping or changing direction when he leans into the harness hurts too. So Mr Boogs and I swapped dogs, but he has no patience for dog training (he has plenty of patience for wood turning etc, but not for dog training!) so Ted has been getting worse and worse.

Until I bought a game changer - a waist belt and bungee lead. It works! I can train Ted as I always have with the other pups, no more sore hands. He’s improving every day.

I’ve set up a grooming parlour for little Ted in Andy’s utility room. I put some peanut butter on the post and off we go. Ted loves the fuss and is putting up well with his back end being kept up for the session. Before I just couldn’t get to his back legs or bum as he’d just sit down.

🙂
