Living with Poppy - 07/11/21

Sam adored his classes , he did well . Reuben on the other hand saw it all as an excuse to be a total lunatic I decided to train him myself using the information and support I had from the trainer, it has worked well , most of the time Edited to say, some of the time

I met up with 3 dog walking friends this morning - a total of 7 dogs in all and we just let them sort themselves out. Poppy settled really well once she'd been told off by a couple of the older dogs. Then she lost me (walking with the others and mixed up with the dogs). I looked round and she was off at full speed to the horizon the way we had just come. Poor lamb deaf and in a panic. I was just setting off at top speed when the others shouted that she was coming. She came back at top speed from a long way off.

Hopefully she learned a new lesson this morning. Keep an eye on the one who feeds you!

Many times I am so so glad that I did about turn walks when Cass was tiny !

I used to hide behind trees when the lad was a cocky teenager , he did used to make me laugh running to find me then pretending that he knew where I was all along xx

@David, it does show that Poppy has now bonded very well with you if she was so desperate to find you. Probably done her a world of good to lose you and then find you again

I'd forgotten about that. I used to do it with Lady as a pup. I'll give it a whirl.

Yes, it is funny isn't it! You can seen them panicking when they can't find you and when they eventually do, the pretend they were not the slightest concerned I once climbed a tree, that foxed my GSPs!
