Lump on the side of Hunter's Cheek

Has anybody had a lump on the side of their dog's face?
Hunter seemed out of sorts and has been sneezing and has lots of snot coming out of one nostril. Same lump side as nostril.
I am so upset I missed this, as we are so focused on his joints that I never thought to check his face. I do check teeth/nose/eyes monthly.
He has an appointment with the vet tomorrow.
He is eating/weeing etc OK and seems to have no pain when eating but he really seems out of sorts.
Anybody had this?
I am slightly freaking out and it does not help that my OH dislocated his elbow playing football this weekend and has his arm in plaster!

Thanks Kate.
I left my phone at home and I have to work in the office today. The vet is very busy (cold weather means poorly dogs) and if it was urgent she could have got me in. I just feel bad as I should have noticed. I was far to focused on his joints as he was limping after doing zoomies and chasing his new friend Puk in the woods.

Charlie has a lump on the side of his face. He has had it since we adopted him at 9 months. I had the vet check it she took a needle aspiration, the results showed nothing to worry about but they and I keep an eye on it's size and shape for any changes. Your vet will put your mind at ease. Don't beat yourself up, you have rather a lot on with Hunter. So sorry about your husband, hope he heals quickly. xxx

He has gone a little downhill tonight. Not sure if it could be his molar. He will not let me touch his face now and when I tried to touch his mouth it felt very warm. He ate his food and and has gone back to his basket. He is drinking......just curled up.

Well I am not entirely convinced about my vet visit.....Hunter has a slight temperature and she thinks it is a swollen lymph gland. If the lump is still there in 2 weeks she will take a sample to get it checked out. He has some of the best teeth she has seen!
We wanted to check his runny nostril but he completely freaked out. He is very very anxious at the vets now...It started with his 2nd Elbow operation and it has got worse. I go to the vet every 2 weeks now to say hi with Hunter....but he is not having it.
Due to Brexit and Emily's post I thought I better get the rabies blood tests started or our holiday in the Lakes at the end April could become dogless.
I warned her that he really really hates needles....she did not listen..........
So we now have a new appointment for Friday (calming tablets to be given) to take blood and check nostrils...with added time for sedation if required.
I am not convinced about my vet ......but he is sleeping now, still lethargic but he seems more relaxed.........to be continued......
