Maxx has a lump on his face

Maxx has been sneezing a lot and shaking his head. Tonight we noticed a lump on his face. We'll try to get into the vet tomorrow but any ideas?

If it's come up quickly it may be an abscess? He may have got a tiny piece of stick (or anything, in fact) that has got stuck in his skin.
Monty had one on his neck, it went from nothing to almost golf ball size overnight.
It's simple, just a cut and drain and keep clean until the wound heals.

It could be a fatty lump and he shakes his head because it annoys him?

No idea, but if it has come up really quickly and is irritating Maxx, maybe some sort of foreign body? Good luck at the vets and hope you get this resolved quickly

It came up suddenly. We had a prod and it and it doesn't seem to be bothering him. Vet is very busy in Saturday's but fingers crossed

Grass seed, Bee sting or Spider bite? Only things I can think off...does he do anything else apart from sneezing?

I would guess something to do with his tooth. Has he been chewing on anything hard? Will he let you look?

He was fine with us prodding outside but no, he won't let us look inside

Does he normally let you look in his mouth?
Will he let you pull his lip back on that side or is it a total no go zone (apart from touching the lump)?
What does the lump feel like? Soft and easily pushed in or firm?

My first thought would be either a foreign body or a sting. Hope he's sorted soon.

What does the lump feel like? Soft and easily pushed in or firm?

He normally doesn't mind us looking in his mouth so straight away we knew he wasn't happy. We've been to the vet and he thinks it's a hematoma from a sting and his teeth and gums are fine thank goodness. He said if it gets bigger to go back and he'll do a biopsy

I was at the hairdresser and apparently Mr Maxx behaved appallingly then he wouldn't walk past two cats in cages to get into the surgery. The vet nurse had to take him out the back and in through a side door
