Maxx has a sore ear

Poor Maxx I hope he is feeling better.
We had to take Hunter to the vet on Friday as he had a very red raw hotspot near his groin. I think he has a grass allergy...
My OH was not allowed to go in with the vet which Hunter did not like AT ALL (One person only per pet)
We have to rub some gel onto the sore area and when we do, well you would think we were trying to chop his leg off.
Drama Dog is his new nickname!!

Gosh that's very expensive for something that presumably didn't take long to diagnose. Glad you've managed to get some drops in his ear and hope it clears up soon.

Glad Maxx took to the bottle in a fashion. Hopefully it will clear up quickly.
I always find the vets expensive, initial consult is $65, then normally about $50+ for a microscope to determine what the issue is for an ear and then medication...that can range from about $40 upwards....when we had Vanilla with her ear treatment from memory we spent about $1000+, as we tried various ear treatments, multiple appointments and finally an ear flush...then more checkups...

Maxx's ear has cleared up - hooray. When he was at the vets he got a Leptospirosis shot and needed a booster today (2 weeks later). Poor thing had a reaction to it according to the vet and started scratching madly where the needle went in. The vet said it's nothing to be worried about as he stopped quite quickly but I think it was a little traumatic as he is now snuggled up in his doona looking darn sorry for himself. I just hand fed him some watermelon and he seems a little brighter.
