Meet Mr Lime-Green collar

Rory is very skilled at sucking on a toy for ages until it's slimey and gooie and almost digested he does it quietly. Then some toy is missing a body part. He's not allowed anything from towels to teddies soft Khongs lick mats or fabric unsupervised ever, but he can still surprise us. He has issues with it we think its part of his colitis pain and stress.

Rourke loves his teddies from the Charity shops. When a puppy a cardboard box filled with newspaper and the odd treat and a plastic bottle which he could crunch and throw about so that clattered about, kept him amused for ages.
Joy loved these things as a pup too. Plastic bottles were a big favourite! I also used to put some of her kibble in them to make them more rattling and interesting. She was easy to please.

Both my dogs as puppies LOVED the empty water bottle filled with a couple peices of kibble to make it rattle. Also my dad's old socks tied together to make a tug toy. Probably would have been better if they were used unwashed socks, but I couldn't bring myself to go quite that far. 😂

Duncan's favourite play toy (vs his stuffies which he treated like babies) was just an old beach towel. He loved to have it tied over his head and then walk around bumping into walls. When it fell off, he'd beg for it to be tied back on. My big sweet weirdo.

Meet.... Mr turquoise collar! Who will be joining us on Monday morningreceived_973271473071058.jpegreceived_689319005235828.jpeg. Turns out Mr lime green might be more likely to have a career in the show ring now ( although turquoise was the original thought for showing) either way they are both lovely, and not having met them in person we wouldn't really know the difference anyway. We could have had him Saturday, but as our patio now looks like this ( and OH has stabbed his calf with a rusty nail🤢) he's coming Monday.

Oh look at him - what a cutey patootie! He sure does look Naiken. They seem to all be massive fluffy lugs. :inlove:

I hope you're feeling ok about the switcheroo. Even if you hadn't met MLG, you build up an attachment just based on the photos and it can be hard to change gears (ask @Beanwood ).

So now do we get to count sleeps until puppy? By my count FOUR! :dug:

Ouch for your OH - but the rest of your garden looks beautiful.

In fairness, the breeder always said it could change at the last minute, but felt at least 80% certain we were getting LG. It was a bit weird at first, and I would probably feel weirder if we had met and cuddled them, but it doesn't feel like a big deal..
What is happening to your patio?! Doesn't OH know the importance of PUPPY DAY?!

Aggh, I know, the stuff was late to arrive and what should have been a two hour job today getting old wood up turned into 7 hours. The rest of the house is still a puppy death trap and I've got work to do tomorrow anyway, so it's for the best all round. ''Puppy day'was only agreed three days ago anyway.

OH CRIKEY! Chocolate puppy envy. He is absolutely scrumptious.
He really knows how to work the camera!
SO do you have a name for him???
He is gorgeous. :inlove:What did you say you were calling him
Ha ha still not definite but he is probably going to be either Bentley (after the woods , our most favourite walk a couple of miles away, not the car ) or still possibly Bertie.
