More puzzled....

Just back from the vet. She is puzzled too. She examined him fully, temperature, belly, heart, paws, teeth, weight, etc. nothing wrong. It could be that he doesn’t tolerate the dentastic. I told her he was getting them all his life, just one a day. But it could be. It could also be that his bowels are starting to get inflamed as that sometimes comes with age. For now, no inflammation. She also scraped some cells of his nose. Perfectly fine. She said that some dogs as they age the start having a bald spot there? Never had this with our other labs....
We wait and see for 3 weeks. Instead of eating 2 times she advised 3 times. He also got a de-wormer (milbemax). She didn’t think he was a hypothyroid dog. Too full of life! Too happy. She liked him so much. Weight was good, no more weight gain, just the same 33kg.
So we can rule out physical problems. Just wait and see what happens next night....

That all sounds very positive. Let's hope it's just been a bit of a blip and all is well from now on. At least Finn doesn't see bothered!

It isn’t over yet....
Yesterday evening my OH had been playing tennis. He wanted to relax a bit afterwards and fell asleep on the couch. At 1:30 am my OH woke up. Finn woke him up by demanding he wanted to go out. So my OH went outside and Finn had a poo.
Early this morning I heard Finn wandering through the living room. I immediately went downstairs to see if he had to go again, but no....he was just looking for something to eat....

Has this just started with the start of cold weather? Does Finn like the cold weather? Have you started with a new bag of food? Maybe the de-wormer has upset his routine? Very strange though.x
Finn likes the cold weather, he loves it very much and get the zoomies as soon he is in the snow. I have a new bag of food, but nothing wrong there. His routine was already upset wherefore he got the de-wormer.....Still very strange! He doesn’t feel sick, had him checked out by our own vet, she was puzzled too....

Could he be sleep walking? So he "wakes" up but he's not really awake, and is disorientated, and doesn't realise that he's not outside and then poops? It's very peculiar that he's not "asking" to go out, and just goes there on the floor. Very peculiar.
