Good gracious, what an odd veterinary surgery! As you know, I used to be a vet nurse and barking dogs were par for the course, I cannot remember anyone being annoyed and certainly would not try and get rid of anyone. They sound quite horrid. I am also sorry you were feeling ill Swampdonkey, that cannot have helped, and then the rain and a poorly foot :-( May tomorrow be a better day x

What the what? Dogs bark, it's par for the course. And no offence to Rory's barking prowess, but I'm sure they've heard much, much louder. I would absolutely be having a word with the boss when you've calmed down, because that is just unbelievable.

Total sympathy for the very weird reaction of a vet practice being put out by a distressed dog barking. I'm glad you knew the taxi driver afterwards...little interactions like that help with the mental reset as his laughing did for you.

Oh I am an unabashed MLP fan! (the reboot) is one of the rare children's shows that can be enjoyed by adults, and it's refreshing to have a core cast that's all female, where most of the secondary characters are female, and where all the most powerful people in the show's "world" are female. I have no idea what that means!I did a quick Google and I can't believe it - they look so different to when I was a kid!
My 2 friends went to a car boot and bought a huge bag of my little ponies. They got them for their "daughters",. But they spent the weekend untangling their manes and tails grooming them and looking after them. Their daughters weren't interested.

I just had an ultra sound. Rory is happy and his stitches are starting to break and fall out he's not infected and he weight bearing on it and not limping when his hurt foot touches the floor. He's being cheeky nibbly and just so Rory.
He found a way to lean on his cone and pop it open. Chris caught him at it when I was out. He now has a pirate Duct tape modifications not subtle but very jolly. He's being so good but is still tired and needing rest. I have ignored the keeping it wrapped and he is going naked in the house. It get a covered with a pawz rubber out side and its fine. I used my common sense with you it. I found he was more interested licking it with the sock on. He wears his cone when alone and is supervised at all times and it's paying off.

just catching up again... Sorry to hear staff at your vets have been so unpleasant. But good news that Rory seems to be improving again.

They were very unpleasant uncaring and nasty. Rory barked because he was scared dogs barked at him so he barked back but they were horrid to us. I was so upset because I couldn't leave as it was raining and his dressing would get wet and the taxi was late. They made an already difficult situation horrible. Rory was so frightened and I was so unwell. I don't think I'll ever forgive them and I don't want to go back it causing me a great deal of stress.
