My dog's favourite KONG filling!

I was thinking about Kongs earlier on today and thought this a useful thread to start.
Lilly's favourite filling is anything, but most often I stuff her Kongs with:
  • Banana Ice Cream (Smashed banana, a spoonful of natural yoghurt, a teaspoon of peanut butter) ALWAYS a winner!!
  • Soaked kibble - I usually use (free) samples for variety, something like the Fish For Dogs ones or whatever I pick up in Pet Shops.
  • Leftovers - usually a bit of meat and veg mashed up, again with yoghurt, or a bit of gravy (just watch the salt).
There are whole websites given over to the topic, but what are YOUR dog's favourites?

Stanley likes philadelphia cheese as a treat.

But I usually just give him soaked kibble. With all his tummy problems over the past few months it’s just not worth the risk. He used to get peanut butter mixed in with his kibble but OH thinks it gave him a runny bum (I’m not convinced) so that also got taken away.

Poor deprived pup ☹

My OH makes Molly amazing kongs - I've cut right down on her kibble because he feeds her two kongs a day. He stuffs them with whatever human food is in the fridge - but he does the grocery shopping ( and most of the cooking) so I'm convinced he deliberately over-buys so he has nice things for his little poppet.
The only rule we stick to absolutely is nothing sweet. So she has all sorts of meat and veg as well as tinned sardines, cheese, quiche and he even bought her pate once or twice!

Xena's favourite filling is FOOD. For real, I don't think she cares.

The standard filling is mackerel in tomato sauce. I sometimes add little bits and pieces to it (cheese, ham, rice), but my chooks get all my food leftovers so Xena has to "suffer" with stinky fish.

Red has Hills i/d wet food in hers. This goes back to last year when she had a lot of digestive issues. She’s a lot better but still prone to upset tums.
Sky has her lamb and rice kibble moistened. With her it’s more about the excitement of having a kong - she gets so excited when it’s Kong time, than actually having something to occupy her.
Both kongs are frozen.
They are their favourite - as it’s the only one I do for them - they don’t get a variety 😉

Wispa and Tuppence have mashed banana and sardines (or tuna sometimes), with the narrow end sealed with peanut butter, then frozen. It’s a bit like main course and dessert in one go, not that they usually have dessert after their kibble!

Kibble with peanut butter. He also has kibble with soft cheese or humus. Kibble and yogurt but that’s a bit messy as the yogurt runs out of the hole in the bottom. I don’t freeze them.

All my pups have been fine with soaked, frozen kibble.

Not Spencer! He’ll lick the top bit off then leave it alone. He doesn’t persevere at all. Tatze was getting fat eating his discarded Kongs! So for Spencer I put a teaspoonful of peanut butter pushed to the bottom of the Kong. He only has a short tongue so it takes him ages to lick it out.

My go-to is soaked kibble mixed with tinned tuna or sardines. Sometimes raw mince. But, the kibble I bought recently doesn’t soak and I’m still playing about a bit with their diet, so now I’m going to start making chicken or fish with rice and vegetables to use as a filling.

Harley doesn’t like kongs so I ended up buying the filled bones from PAH, scraping out the filling them stuffing them. I always freeze them. I always use natural yoghurt (0% fat) and mix with either: sardines, tuna, mackerel, kippers, blueberries, banana or cooked chicken.

Same...but he does have a strong preference for blended banana with a drizzle of honey
