Nelly

Hopefully that is just one of those growths that come up on the gums. Apparently can be caused by plaque on the teeth and very common in some breeds, like Boxers. Snowie had one a year ago. I can’t remember the name. Our vet said they don’t actually need to be removed unless they get in the way of eating or if they trap food and become smelly.

Nelly has seen the Vet again , Sue is very pleased with her saying she is a different little dog to the one she saw last week  We have to slowly reduce the drugs and see how she copes , if she regresses then she will go back onto the them . Re the growth , she says it is an epulis and on close inspection , it does not look sinister . Sue is reluctant to give Nelly GA , to either remove it or biopsy it , she feels that with her brain issues , it could be dangerous and so , as it does not affect her eating and drinking , we are on watch and wait . All in all , a positive visit for Nelly , she is happy and comfortable thats what matters xxx
