I wrote a letter to the owners of the dog as advised by @Jen and wrote Without Prejudice on the top. It took ages to write as I really wanted to let rip, but I didnt , just kept it factual , saying that I didnt want to take this further but I was disappointed that no offer of payment had been made , and no apology for the awful damage done to Nelly .. I will get it copied and posted recorded delivery today . It must have been writing the letter that caused it because I had the most awful night of flashbacks to the attack , in awful clarity . I think I might feel better once the letter has been posted off as I really need justice for Nelly who is struggling on her one back leg at the moment, no doubt the cold wet weather isnt helping .xx

So glad to hear Nelly has been signed off, you've all been so brave. It’s so unfair you still have to deal with the legal side of things, the other owners suck Best of luck with it all, it must be so distressing revisiting everything but you’re doing a fantastic job for your girl x

By a stroke of luck , I managed to speak to an advisor, outcome being that my letter was fine , not friendly but not officious , sticking to the facts . Our wonderful Vets were happy for me to photocopy the letter and its gone . I`m not holding my breath but I have it on good authority that the owner has recently lost a case against them in the small claims court regarding a sale of one of their horses who turned out to have multi health problems , so maybe they wont want to revisit , fingers crossed xx

Its a bright sunny cold day here , we went for a walk , I let Nelly off lead which she loved so much . She has been struggling a little on her one back leg but my goodness , she so enjoyed her walk and then had her chariot on the way back . She adores the buggy , I guess she can see more ! xx
