I didn't realise you were so worried about this.
Well, this isn’t our average pet dogs with full service history going for a check-up. There’s a lump, I don’t know how long it’s been there, or what it means. I don’t know if there are more that I haven’t had the chance to feel. I don’t know if she has any tender spots because I can’t guarantee being able to touch her one visit to the next, and certainly not in a way that is an inspection. And I still have very clear in my memory the horror of the last trip like this we took to the vet.
It may be nothing of importance. It may be something that is easily removed. Or it may be window number three.
I have to be prepared for the worst, whilst hoping for the best. Part of that preparation is making sure she has a great weekend, just in case.
This evening, she had her dinner (hand fed, because that’s what we do now, apparently) and then I sat on her sofa and she jumped straight up without hesitation.
She had a lot of scritches and then she put her head down and fell asleep next to me

I felt so honoured she was comfortable enough to do that. Hopefully we’ll have many more opportunities to take that further in the future.
