Not very well

Reuben is not very well this morning , poor lamb . He came home from Anna, his usual bouncy self , but apparently , he wanted to come into the bedroom last night which he hasnt done in months now . I always go to bed at around 10 , Paul lets them out for last wee and leaves Reubs on the sofa with his blanket . Usually when I get up, he is by the door having heard me awake but not this morning and lo and behold , three large piles of sick in the kitchen . He had a small breakfast , he would normally be pushing for his mornings walk by around 8.30 but is just hunkered down on his bed , so there he will stay . I think rice and white fish will be the order of the day , its so unlike him to be so quiet :'(

I never thought I would use the words Reuben and Quiet in the same sentence , poor love . I will watch him closely today for sure and maybe a short walk this afternoon if he seems eager , if not he can stay home and keep warm xx

Poor lad. I am thinking along the same lines as @Jacqui-S. Are the other dogs that were with Anna that day OK? Poor Reuben, hope he picks up soon! Mind you, he chose a good day to hunker up for cuddles, it's horrid out there!☔:rain:

I have just spoken to my neighbour over the road ,her dog was with Reubs at the field and she is fine , also rang my friend Jill , her Poppy was also there and is fine too . I`ve messaged Anna to see if the other three dogs there are alright, maybe she hasnt heard from their owners yet ? I know she is very vigilant , but then dogs will be dogs so yes, its possible he has eaten something he shouldnt have . He had his twelve month boosters last November/early December and has been wormed regularly too . Nelly is fine so far so I`m just on watch and wait , I hate this so much x

It's also worth considering that this time of year dogs can get a seasonal gastro bug. My dogs have had it and I know a few different dogs around here have had it. They are just quiet sick and sometimes a bit squirty. They can get a temp and just generally feel a bit flat.

Despite him not asking , I took them both for a walk in the woods . After about 30 yards or so, he went into poo position at the edge of the trail but nothing came out , big panic from me . Bless him ,he was straining like crazy and then slowly emerged the most monstrous offering , never have I seen the likes  He got to his feet , ran a little way then squatted down for a repeat performance , after which he set off like someone had poked a stick of dynamite up his bottom , the look of relief and joy was clearly evident :dug: And so I reckon he just forgot to poo yesterday as he was having such a grand time , oh these flippin` dogs , scare us shixless , pardon the pun xxxxx
