Odd squeal

Tonight, Kipper was playing in the garden with OH. They’d just finished, OH went into the house to get a treat to finish the game and Kipper was waiting on the grass. We don’t know what happened, but he squealed in a way I’ve not heard before, rushed into the house and steamed round with teddy very frantically for a few minutes, like he does when somethings really upset him. I’ve checked him over and there’s no obvious sensitivity - he’s moving fine, no limps, sprains or hot/sensitive areas. Fingers crossed it was just something odd (like a stone in the grass?) and no lasting effects

That’s a good point; there are a few creepy crawlies that could give a sharp bite/sting, I didn’t really think much of that except ‘thank goodness we don’t have venous snakes...!’. Thank you!

Interesting! Possible, it was dark and the grass was (still is) frosty. But still possible - it would explain the shock I guess.

It does sound like an insect bite, I suppose it's been mild enough for there still to be drowsy wasps about.

Of course he didn’t, he’s on a strictly calorie controlled diet! (Well maybe just a couple of crumbs...)
