On the Road Again…

As the weather forecast was :rain: :rain: :rain: , we headed off to the Lakeland Motor Museum
I absolutely love transport museums!!
The dogs were impeccably behaved (as always😉).
Here’s a small selection of photos…

I put together a couple of collages with descriptionsA24CD3F0-CBCA-47DF-98AD-0F1DA7E727EC.jpegBBA6F33D-EBF5-463A-AE67-3BB536984FC1.jpeg1670EC10-BA29-41B5-B7F2-3ADAD013A920.jpeg

A couple more photos of the museum…

When I stopped to read information sheets about the vehicles, Oreo often got bored and proceeded to lie on the floor, right in the path of everybody 🤣BD9881E0-83F3-4D15-91F0-A4E2707C6F73.jpeg2429ED47-45CC-487E-801B-30D369B6224A.jpeg95F7E75D-AF4C-4C12-AA60-E660F1C4A307.jpeg2E8CB313-D45A-41D9-8CDB-918644B1AB2A.jpeg

After the museum, we headed to the cafe for lunch. Here’s Oreo looked very relaxed! 4AC5C987-21E3-4AD9-9C1E-F8918E733952.jpeg

Along the road, we stopped to get a photo of a steam train 🚂 15DCEFDB-60D0-4EE0-88C4-F18F55C2C69E.jpeg

We then headed slightly south to Cartmel - home of the Sticky Toffee Pudding 😍😍CFEB3AE6-7CAD-4193-9ABC-DD6F1E203A5C.jpeg9E4E99D0-8106-4548-BC6D-DA8FD4DCF65D.jpegADCF5EED-A268-4779-866F-4DB73C0DC323.jpeg

Great photos @Sophiedoodle - looks and sounds like a great day.

The photograph of the motor bike and side car was like a ‘blast from the past’. My father had one of those and that’s how we as a family travelled everywhere. We regularly went from our home in Wolverhampton to my grandparents home in Birkenhead (over 2 hours travel each way then) - mum would be riding pillion and my sister and I in the sidecar - me at the back. I hated it - where I sat I was so close to the road - I used to feel dreadfully travel sick and often was. I’m sure that’s why I’m became a poor passenger and prefer to drive myself
