Opinions on changing Rourke from Lamb and Rice Kibble to a salmon one

Rourke has spent most of his life on Arden Grange Lamb and Rice kibble which suits him well. However, as some of you will know, Rourke has been diagnosed with arthritis in both shoulders and has been lame for at least a year and NSAIDs cause him to be sick, so he cannot take them. I bought a small bag of Barking Heads Salmon and Vegetables as he always has half a handful of kibble scattered on the patio each morning and just wondered if it would help his arthritis if I changed him from the Lamb to the Salmon? I just wondered if red meat was not helpful, but on the other hand the salmon is farmed. Any ideas/opionos?

Sky who has bad arthritis has Symply Lamb and Rice and I pour about a dessert spoonful of salmon oil onto her tea time kibble. She also has YuMove tablets - 1 per meal. I am convinced both help her. She also has Rheumocam but not the full dose she is allowed as I hate seeing her doped up. She functions better on a minimal dose. She has a bio flow collar too. All these things help her.

I don't know Sonia whether the lamb or salmon would have an effect for better or worse on Rourke's arthritis, I'm not well informed enough. I too would worry about farmed salmon.

Speaking for myself, I take cider vinegar for arthritis in my knees, with very good effect. I'm not sure how you could give to a dog, although the one I take is mixed with honey. It works well for horses.

I do know that one of the dog trainers in Worcester is now a qualified canine nutritionist, she might be able to shed light on the subject.
