Overweight again 🙃

UK Tour Guide
Yesterday I took Sky to our new vets for the first time. She had her annual injections. They give the Lepto 2 as opposed to our previous vet who advised Lepto 4. She said they don’t have enough evidence in this area of Lepto 4 being necessary. She gave Sky a good checking over and pronounced all well. She is however 27.7kg so has put on over 2 kg since her last weigh several months ago. This didn't surprise me really as I can see the weight gain but I was disappointed nonetheless. As I weigh Sky’s food and it’s down to the minimum there’s not a lot we can do. It all rests on exercise which has been erratic but is much better recently. The vet wasn’t concerned other than saying the obvious that the pressure extra weight puts on her arthritic joints is a consideration. Medication wise we are spot on so nothing new except options to consider for the future which could be cartrophen injections; supplementary therapies - they recommend Synoquin EFA (I didn’t mention the neutraceuticals my step daughter has supplied for her PhD trials as we yet the have the big reveal on that); MLS Therapeutic Laser; Acupuncture; Additional Pain Relief. So nothing new for Sky and I think we are in tune ourselves with Sky and manage her well - she’s a happy dog.

I didn’t have time to take Sky home before collecting a granddaughter from school but we had time to have a little walk in the sun around the playing field by the school. She then had a good nosey around my son’s home whilst I got to cuddle the baby grandson 😄.
