Oh I’m sorry, I never saw this reply!@Kelsey&Axel I’m just catching up Kelsey. I’m sorry Hugo has had a bad tummy again. From my experience with Murphy and then Scott and Scout who all had sensitive stomachs a novel protein, as has been discussed, is best. I always used a food with fish protein. Murphy had to have white fish salmon was too rich. I also had them on probiotics permanently. They won’t do any harm. S&S we’re on them from about four months old when they had to have antibiotics for six weeks. The vet recommended it to avoid antibiotic tummy. If the diarrhoea flares up again and you take a sample for testing have they tested for campylobacter yet ? If not ask them to. Scout had campylobacter (seriously what didn’t those dogs have) . If I remember correctly the bug multiplies in the gut, they have diarrhoea which reduces the bug in the gut, they improve for a bit, then it repeats. Hopefully though the change in food and probiotics have done the trick

The change in food thankfully did the trick, I am still using pre probiotic though until I finish the little tub. Then we will see. I actually came here to find the link that I posted regarding DCM. I’ll go post it on your thread now
