Poor lad

Last Friday when the scaffolding went up , Reuben was at playgroup so he didnt see anything and didnt even notice the work when he came home . Yesterday the men returned to use angle grinders to make the roof tiles ready for the solar panels , thankfully this coincided with his afternoon walk so he didnt have to bark for long as they had gone by the time we came home . The men have been here today , since 11 this morning until 5 p.m. to fit the fixings and then place the panels up on the roof . I took the dogs for a walk , I still cant walk too far but I did sit on a log by the river whilst they both messed around until I got so cold that I had to come home . Since then , poor Reubs has been in turmoil , he could see their legs on the planks and was barking furiously so I closed the curtains but he could hear the men plodding around on the roof using heavy duty drills  We turned the radio up as loud as we dare without driving us mad , still he could hear them plus their shadows through the curtains could still be seen , big relief when they went off at 5ish but tomorrow they are back to wire the panels in, which means going into the loft and then into the hall cupboard where the fuse box is .
I`m not complaining, honestly I`m not but will be mightily pleased when the work is done and Reuben will relax again , he is currently shattered after being on guard all day xx

Poor pup, that must be some confusion for him to see legs outside the window and hear all the sounds! He may do better tomorrow after today's experience followed by a good night's rest. Fingers crossed!
Have decided to give him a really good run early , then I shall retire to the bedroom armed with coffee and toast, laptop , two dogs and there I shall stay until they are done
