Thanks for asking , she is about the same . She uses the leg sometimes but others she just scoots along on her bottom but she isnt any worse , so we are thankful for this xx

Nelly was back to the Vets this morning after a rather rough weekend . Sue agrees that her chiari malformation has progressed to syringomyelia which is awful , no cure but careful management until this no longer works . We didnt really know if we would be bringing Nelly home but Sue wants to give her one last chance and of course we do too . She is now on a higher dose of gabapentin , plus omeprazole and metacam , back to the Vets next Monday unless we need to be seen prior to this . It really is the last chance saloon for our little one who is now sleeping and more settled , bless her xx

I'm sorry to read Nelly has syringomyelia....!! I hope the gabapentine will give her some painreduction. It's hard to treat this condition painwise. Just see what she can do herself and what gives her comfort. You can try heatpads or, if she doesn't like this, cold pads. She knows exactly what she likes or not....
