Poorly Coco

He's having a flare up of his infrequent poorly tum. He was up 4 times in the night, mainly pacing. He can't settle today, with loose, bloody stool & a little bile vomit.
He looks so sad. He's not eating but he is drinking. This is usual for these bouts. He normally springs back suddenly, so fingers crossed he'll do that again. I have the pumpkin ready for him.

I'm sad because I shouted at him in the night, when really it was OH I was cross with because a) he won't take a turn of getting up and b) he had the cheek to complain when I called Coco in to the bedroom (rather loudly).

Poor Coco, it’s so awful when they’re sad and uncomfortable isn’t it. Keeping everything crossed that he bounces back very soon, darling boy.

We’ve all done it, it doesn’t make it any better but for Coco it will have been fleeting and he won’t dwell on it. Try to give yourself grace, you had a small flare up in very trying circumstances, and you’re only human.

He’s also long-forgotten your understandable shout in the middle of the night - as the others have said, we’ve pretty much all done the same, so don’t be hard on yourself.
