Poppy film star!

I have to confess at this point that the video only shows the upside! There are still the odd times when she runs off with the dummy. Also she thinks the problem through too much so if I want her to stop, although she can do it perfectly well, she ignores the whistle and says "Well there are obviously a couple of blinds out here. I'll just go and find one - that's what he wants after all!"

The class is also advancing a bit quick for me. We are getting into much more complicated stuff and I'm not sure we are keeping up. Poppy's steadiness has improved a lot, however. She used to be a complete nightmare with no patience and wanting to get stuck into all the other dogs retrieves, but that's settling down nicely. I don't think she will ever be patient enough as a peg dog, though. She needs to be active all the time. I'm planning to take a half gun this season and pick up with Poppy half the day and shoot the other half. I think that should work well.
