Reubens surgery will be next Thursday . I am relieved that the Vet who will be performing the operation is known to us , she is an expert in canine cancer removal and ironically the same lady who operated on Sam . We had said that we would be prepared to go to one of the other nearby practices in the group but we have got the lady we had hoped for and so are pleased , well as pleased as we can be under the circumstances xxx

I'm glad you've got a vet you have confidence in. I know next Thursday will seem a very long time coming but I also know you will remember the advice you gave me that dogs live in the moment - Reuben won't be dreading the day and will have his normal happy life until then. I put this photo on FB yesterday, Reuben having such fun in the water . A ` friend ` messaged me to say that maybe I should be keeping him quiet , why on earth should I ? Honestly , ten days ago I hadnt even seen the Vet , whats changed in his life ? OK things have changed for us as we are the ones worrying but he is the same lad , silly, fun loving and life loving so things will carry on as normal until Thursday xx

Our lovely Vet has just rung , she is performing the surgery tomorrow ( Friday ) morning as she wants it to be done asap . She plans on also taking samples from his lymph nodes to see if the cancer has spread, oh my goodness, I am now in a right old panic , positive thoughts please for tomorrow xxx
