Unexpected bonus!

I took Nina out for a last loo at 10:00 last night. The light was just fading so no need for a torch or anything. There was a rattle on the back fence and within 6ft of me a young adult fox appeared perched on the top of the fence just like a cat. I was standing stock still within 6 feet of the fox and she didn't notice me. Focusing instead on Nina who was staring back. They stayed like this for maybe 10 seconds or so and then the fox dropped back down into the field the way she had come and was gone. Wonderful.
