Quinn's Little Sister

Ah, these are the worst days to get through, hang in there..they may be the cuddliest and the cutest but they are completely exhausting and knackering too..I remember in week one, at least twice a day when Bear was napping, I would try a grab a 30 minute snooze if I could. But I was on leave that week 😖.

Btw my house is still a disaster. I give Bear every bit of recycling to chew and he leaves trails of it all over the house 😂

Oh my goodness, she looks like a tiny polar bear in that photo!

My house was like that for YEARS. Toilet roll centers and old water bottles were perennially favourite toys, along with old knotted up beach towels. With Brogan there was the added fun of persistent drifts of fluffy stuffing from eviscerated soft toys. It was kind of a disaster. 😁

She's a real water fiend, and after zero accidents, we had about 10 pees in a row (only the middle pees caught in time outside)!! She's finally sleeping again. I'm worn out. The house is a complete disaster - it's muddy outside too. Whew. Maybe don't get a puppy...
Just like Spencer, he was a complete waterholic and constant widdler!

I leave water out at all times. They need it at all times. Restricting water at 6pm and giving ice cubes seems like it might make a pup obsessive about water in the day. I've never restricted water at any time and all the pups have been dry over night really quickly. They do drink a lot

I was occasionally tempted to remove water with Bear but I never did, and he always drank loads - still does. his toilet training did take a long time, but I felt that he should always have access to a drink if he wanted it, especially as he was a small puppy in the warmest months. Also, with soft poos they can get dehydrated quickly so I never wanted this to become a problem.

I didn't give Squidge free access to water as a young puppy, but that was only because she would dig it out of the bowl, so the bowl would be empty in any event. I would give her water very regularly, and it was always a fun event to see if I could whip it away as soon as she'd finished drinking because two seconds later, it would be all over the floor again
I wouldn't restrict it through choice, though, and she grew out of the habit at some point - at a guess around the time she was able to start walking. Maybe daily trips to the beach helped!

Would it surprise if I told you this puppy goes into the bowl (yes climbs into it), digs and dribbles water everywhere?? No? didn't think so
