Remembering Flynn

Our little Irish rover , came to us via the Blue Cross , he had been rounded up with others left behind when a travellers camp was moved on . I worked as a volunteer for the BC at the time and so had the inside story , that Flynn was damaged , physically and mentally , there was a debate about his future but I begged them to let me have him , for however long he had left . Sam was only a year old when Flynn arrived with us , and they adored one another from day one .
Its eight years today since we said farewell little lad but , as all the others who have left before and since , I think of him and never regret the heartbreak , he knew love at the end and thats what matters to me xx

Flynn was suffering the effects of malnutrition , his vital organs, bones and condition being poor due to this, but he was a darling . He slept cuddled up to Sam every night , following him around like a lost lamb during the daytime . He was a darling little boy who loved being here with us , enjoyed his walks although he couldnt go far as he got tired very quickly . Neglect is a form of cruelty in my book x
