Remembering my Rottie boys, Duncan and Brogan

Thank you everyone. Today is always hard: both my boys passed on 22 December, 13 years apart. I get very sad for about a week beforehand, can't seem to help myself. I'm very good at forgetting anniversaries because I can't remember dates (even good ones like birthdays) to save my life, but "THREE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS" is impossible to forget because Christmas is everywhere. I know from experience that after tonight, the sadness will start to get better and I will be able to remember the good times again and not just what today means.

Extra  to you @Candy for your Solstice. We never forget.❤

Lovely photos of two very special boys.

Remembering, too, my Boogie - who lived to a healthy 19 (nearly 20!) years! He was a street puppy we adopted from Battersea Dogs home when I was a student, he was six months old. He came absolutely everywhere with me. My youngest son has only just forgiven me for having to have him put down. He adored him utterly, as we all did.

🕯 🕯 for all our departed and still much loved dogs.
