Never want to forget my black girl - these two memories popped up in my Facebook feed today. The top one is 6 years old and the second 8 years old

I always think there is something so vulnerable and appealing about the back of a dog's head. Sky looked very well loved and will always remain in your hearts and was known by us all by her photographs

I always remember my lost dogs with so much love! It means (to me, anyway,) that they're not at all lost really, just still there in the background, which isn't so very far away. Same with my lost people. Still there, just in a different way. xxx

We have been without our dear Sky for a year - it’s a year ago tomorrow - doesn’t seem possible. We think about her every day and talk about her very frequently. We both miss her dreadfully. So many memories of her. One of the special memories is how she was with babies and small children - she loved all the little ones who visited/stayed here. Often when we were out and just sitting somewhere with her, people would come up to us and ask if their child could stroke her. She was just like a teddy bear and always so very gentle. No wonder she made such a good Pets as Therapy dog. I am so lucky to have had her in my life
