Reuben has a poorly leg

Happy to report that the limp , whilst still there, is not quite so bad today, go Reuben
Also , he has not had any adverse reaction to his medication , he was shocking after loxicom but onsior is proving to be much better for him . No walk today , I`m just so pleased that he is improving xx

He has a soft tissue injury so, as he is sensitive to some NSAI , he has been give Onsior . He was such a good boy and was given a brand new kong ball as a reward The down side is that he now weighs 40 kilos , which according to the Vet nurse is not too overweight given his height but he could do with losing a few kilos , so thats both of us cutting back after Christmas xxx

He has definitely gained weight since I was unable to walk the miles we used to do, but I can still feel his ribs and to my eyes, he doesnt look remotely overweight xx

I’d go with the vet’s comment! Wispa looks skinny when she’s standing, but when she sits she looks quite tubby, probably because she sits right down in her froggy sit and everything sinks!

Maxx is just over 47 kilos and the vet said he is fine. You can still feel his ribs easily; he is just a big boy

My lovely boy out with me this lunchtime . I took him for a 20 minute walk, no sign of his limp but I wanted to play safe for a couple more days . Looking at this photo, Reuben is not overweight , he looks grand to me anyway xxx

He certainly does, and that's a cracking photo.

I think sometimes the vet nurses get a bit over zealous with the whole overweight Lab thing.

He looks in great shape. He's just a big, tall boy.

I'm glad he's feeling better and that it seems to have been just a soft tissue thing. Best news.
