Reuben isnt very well

Poor Reuben. I was so hoping this was "puppy who ate something icky" and would bounce back quickly.

I was so worried about him last night, he was very flat and told the Vet this on the phone . Then of course he had to make a complete liar out of me by bounding into the surgery with his usual gusto . He isnt dehydrated , but his tummy is sore and a slightly raised temp so he has some tablets Dia Tab , to calm everything down . Vet didnt want to give AB`s as these can cause tummy upset but if he still has diarrhea on Saturday morning , I can collect some for him . Poor love , he looks very forlorn and will not be attending Playgroup tomorrow x

He seems to have lost some stamina , and has also lost a kilo and a half in weight , good job he is a big lad to start with . He seems quite happy to be snuggled up beside me on the sofa , and thats where he can stay xx

We had a very small gap in this awful weather , so I took them out on a flat easy walk , just for ten minutes off lead . Reubs stayed close. no straying off course at all and then he did a Sorry to be graphic, but the first inch or so was formed , but then it ran out of him , but at least that first inch was formed , so that cheered me no end . He was eager to walk unlike this morning but equally pleased to have his lead back on and return to the car , now snuggled and cuddled up with me , certainly no where near his usual self but better than he has been xxxxx
