Reuben isnt very well

Oh no, not Merlin too ! The Vet did tell me , when we took Reuben last , that there were a lot of dogs with tummy issues , often down to us having so much rain causing run off from farmers fields which can contain bacteria . Reubs is not prone to diarrhea at all so I reckon this could be the cause . I`m not rushing him off to the Vets as he is not ill , is drinking and eating his fish and rice , if he does become poorly like last time then I will take him of course . Get well soon Merlin xxxx
That’s a very good point Kate and might well be the cause. Merly does often drink from puddles and streams, whereas Poppy never does. Fingers crossed both Reuben and Merlin are over this quickly!

Also wondering if he could have picked something up at Playgroup . Anna doesnt give them treats but he could well have got reinfected from another dog , maybe give it a miss for a couple of weeks and we need some cold weather to kill the bugs off x

Merly does often drink from puddles and streams
This is a big problem with Ripple. I came back from Pilates on Monday to find a huge puddle of disgusting 'something' (brown and stinky could have been either) , I remembered Ripple had been drinking from puddles on his walk on Sunday at the marshes near where they had been working on the railway line. Also he had had a rumbly tummy all day Monday so I assume this was the result. He was most disappointed when he only got short rations for dinner and no evening biscuits.

I`m getting the stare , that " I am actually starving " look that Labradors perfect so well . Been for a short ten/fifteen minute walk, he did a sloppy poo again but has only " been " twice so far today . Nelly is fine, so I really do think its contaminated puddles to blame , even if he doesnt drink from them he drops his ball in them and then picks it up , always something and its a good job we love them xx

He is still eating well , only rice and white fish but is begging for more , he is drinking his water , hasnt been sick and no watery poo . He wants his walks too although I`m not taking him far but yes , testing the poo would be a plan if this sloppy stuff continues , he hasnt had a poo since yesterday afternoon though , so it isnt really diarrhea xx
