In July my friend Fiona had to have the older of her two Fox Terriers, Jessie pts. Jessie was a rescue, so we never knew her exact age, but it was thought that she was about 15. Then her old friend Millie, a working Cocker followed her a few weeks ago, aged 14. Millie's human Dad found a piece of stone and carved their names on it and their ashes were scattered on Norland Moor last Friday evening, accompanied by a beautiful sunset. Today Joy and I walked up to the moor, found the stone and left a small bouquet of wildflowers that we had picked on the way up there. A beautiful place for two lovely dogs who were lifelong friends.
