Just putting up a couple of nice framed photos of the Small Black Dog and of course these required picture pins hammering into the wall. You know what's coming next, don't you? Poof! No power. :angry:

I'd only gone and driven the pin through a cable. Fortunately careful reversal of the procedure, ie pulling the pin out, and resetting the circuit breaker and all was well again. Thank goodness for the self-healing properties of PVC cable.

It could have been much worse and been a pipe!

It's 240 volts and I didn't feel a thing! Wasn't actually holding the pin at the time. The wiring is behind the plaster in what must be a plastic duct and obviously doesn't go in a straight line up the wall as I was about a foot to the right of the wall socket!
 
Crikey, I did this when we renovated our first house. I was sawing through a post but unbeknown to me there was a wire pinned to the other side of it. Suddenly there was a big flash and bang and no power. Luckily I didn't feel it, must have had the right shoes on :LOL:
