Seven…

I'm sure once they meet him they will get over their breed related reservations. I mean... Big, goofy, delicious puppy!! Fingers and paws crossed.

One of my closest friends has a rescue who they thought was a staffie mix. He kept growing and growing and it turns out he is an amstaff. He is large and ridiculously placid. A little anxious because he was mistreated as a youngster  but super gentle.

The family that originally found Dexter came to visit him this morning. They are considering adopting him. They are a young, active couple with a teenaged daughter. All of them are runners - the guy runs ultra marathons! They seem really lovely, and they're very taken with Dexter who, for his part, was a total superstar (unlike Squidge, who jumped on everyone and tried to nick their treats :wasntme:

I think it's very likely that they will take him, as long as they can get their heads around the PPP thing. It was abundantly clear that he's not a dangerous dog! They were amazed at how calm he is, how he didn't bark at all, and how nicely he would sit for treats. The couple of times he did get a bit mouthy, they were very kind and dealt with it appropriately - standing up and asking him to sit down for a treat. So yay to that.

If it happens, it will be after his second vaccination, which is on 20th October. They live in Barcelona, but have a large garden there, and also a big house just down the road from us here which they use for long weekends on alternate weeks.

Lots of lambies for the little man!
