Horrible...I hate that feeling when you know an approaching dog is going to be trouble but there is nothing you can really do. Poor Nelly! I always thought Frenchies were nice, but I have had a number of run-ins over the years...met many more aggressive ones than chill ones. Quinn avoids them like the plague.

Same! So many angry Frenchies who snarl at Chewie. And many clueless owners. I wonder if it (both the aggression and the owners) is because they are so trendy?

That sounds like a bloody awful experience Kate, though it does show what a great, confident temperament Reuben has!

Ugh it’s so scary when that happens. The worst is always the useless owners who stand there calling the dog’s name over and over in increasingly loud and angry tones. The last time Simba was attacked like that I just kept yelling back at the owner “COME AND GET YOUR DOG!!”
