So proud of my boy. No, not that one!

J has been keeping me up to date with how Shadow has been doing in Andorra. It’s busy up there at the moment, lots of tourists and unfamiliar dogs.
He said Shadow has been brilliant but, get this, if he gets a bit worried,”I just do that figure of eight thing you do”, or “I scatter some food on the floor”, and “there was a spaniel off lead, so I turned around like you do”...
He also said he saw a pair of cats and sat down watching them, then looked back at J. That’s the game, right?

So I’m very proud of Shadow for being such a good boy, not reacting to anyone, but I’m also proud of J for taking on board the tactics I use with him and applying them when necessary.

Pats on the head for both of them!

How's Ginny? Any sign that her season is nearly over and J and Shadow can come back to Spain?
She certainly seems less swollen, she is sleeping through the night now (although her disturbed nights have restarted Squidge fussing to go out, gagh!) and she seems back to normal behaviourally. So I’m hoping they can come back for next weekend. It’s our 5th wedding anniversary on Friday so it would be nice if they could be back for that. We’ll have to see.

When we got married, part of the ceremony was sealing a nice bottle of port in a box, alongside letters to one another, written on the morning of our wedding day. The idea being that, if we ever get to the point where we are struggling in our relationship, we open it up, drink the port, read the letters to one another and go all gooey. Well, we barely ever argue, so we decided that we should expand on the idea so that we get to open it every five years. We'll then write new letters and seal those in the box with the old letters and a new bottle.
I have the box here. I've told J that, if he can't be here, I'm happy to go ahead on my own. He can join in via Skype. Of course, the bottle needs to be finished. I'm up for the challenge %)
