Some good news from the US

My son and DIL live in northern Indiana. They moved into a new house in early March and due to Covid both their work patterns have changed to involve far less travel and now working from home on a long term basis. They let us know last weekend that they have adopted the little girl below who they have called Pepper.

She is one of a litter of 7 pups born in mid January in Louisiana to an AKC black lab dad and a Choc lab/mix mum. The litter was unplanned and given covid restrictions and the resulting economic problems they were handed over to a rescue organisation who then moved the whole litter to a small rehoming charity in Indiana very close to my son.

They are delighted with her so far and after a difficult start she has certainly had some luck in ending up with them. She has already been out and about with them including a trip on their boat and taken in all in her stride so far.

We are getting plenty of photo updates as it will be a number of months before we can travel over to see them and get to meet her but with all the bad news coming out of the US it is good to have something more positive .
