They are just wonderful together.
Do you think its easier (generally) having a puppy if you have an older dog?

I know Red and Sky didn't get on at first, and Lilly is usually ambivalent to the puppies Sophie brings home. There is the odd one she seems to connect with and engage in play, but mostly she establishes strict boundaries early on.

Yes, I do. It’s much easier. Tatze does the entertaining, I do the training. She gets the brunt of the crocapup teeth and she has nice thick fur to cope with it. Of course, when the older pup is still here Tatze mainly lets them get on with it :)

It would be if different story if Zaba were my dog, he doesn’t let the tiny pups near him until they are about 5 months old.

My heart melts with every photo and video.

Maxx is afraid of boxes. We had a small appliance delivered when he was tiny like Spencer and we thought he'd like to play in it. But he wouldn't go near it and slunk off with his ears flat so we quickly removed it. The breeder told us a story about when she had to take the whole litter to the vet so put them all in a big box and it was so funny to see the little paws waving out from the crevices. We figure maybe Maxx didn't enjoy that experience and associates it with large boxes?
