I had to leave an important meeting at work to rush him to the vets, he’s cost me £200 today and I still stood making him chicken and rice for his tea incase his tummy was sore![]()

My vet's dachshund has had to be opened up three times in as many months for eating the wrong things, the first op he had 25 cm of his bowel removed. The vet has to take him to the emergency vet about 12 miles away as he has stopped doing night time cover!!He looks very subdued, but sadly these dogs don’t learn from their being-made-sick experiences! He’ll be bouncing around and ready to scavenge something else soon.
They said they don’t have the facilities to do it. And they said it’s really hard to test so we’re just going to have to lead him.will your vet be able to test what the pellets are if you can collect a sample?
