Stilton being sick

How is poor Stilton today? Hunter also had an upset tummy at the start of this week but luckily it only lasted 2 days.

I've frozen left-over tinned pumpkin. I put it on little bags of about 4 tablespoons - I'd probably give 4 "doses" over a day.

Also it doesn’t hurt anything to feed much larger amounts. Now that we’re in the US, where canned pumpkin is cheap and everywhere, it’s just become one of Carbon’s staples at every meal (1/2 to 1 cup). He loves it.

We’ve just got back from the vet who was great. She saw Stilton in the car park as he’s nervous going into the surgery since he had his ear infection (we’re working on it slowly).
It’s a bout of pancreatitis and gastritis, probably triggered by too many fatty treats in one hit at training on Monday. It’s painful, so he’s on painkillers and antacids for 5 days. No vomiting today so far (it’s just past 6pm GMT) so fingers crossed he’s on the road to recovery. He’s now playing happily with a newly discovered ball.

Spoke too soon! He’s just been sick again. But hopefully we can keep it to one bout, fingers crossed. He’s definitely feeling full of fun in himself 🥹

He had a good night - only one wake up and no sick, he just wanted to play and eat at 2 in the morning! Ah, young Labradors…

He’s had his meds this morning and is bright eyed and bushy tailed, so fingers crossed for a settled day.
