Yes exactly whether Stilton likes it or not he belongs to all the MLF virtual parents! We'll just let @HAH deal with the practical side of things! :giggl:As @Kelsey&Axel brilliantly phrased It . Our puppy is home. I hope his first night goes well. X
Awwww, you lot… :inlove: Well, the puppy owners’ WhatsApp group is joyfully packed with similar experiences to ours - for homes with another dog, all the puppies are trying to suckle 🤣 and they’re all so well along on house training. When Stilton wakes up he squeaks at the back door and does a wee as soon as he’s found the right spot on the grass and the same with poos, and it sounds like they’re all very comfortable with the routine. It’s astounding how good they are. Obviously we’re being cautious after drinking, sleeping, excitement etc but their breeder has given them such a strong start. She sent us home with a big bag of chews, treats, dental products, and other bits including a beautifully personalized (canilised?) folder with all the essential documents in it. We’re getting a bit better at coordinating Stilton and Kipper, and Kipper’s got lots of safe spaces. In the next couple of days Stilton will be taking on our smell which will help, and we’ll do lots of cohabiting practice!IMG_4511.jpeg

One more day…another day another destineeeee… (that’s enough Les Mis for now).

We are S-Day minus 1, and boy are we excited! Last time we visited we took a soft toy octopus so it can take on the smell of the litter and travel home with him. This morning the breeder sent me a photo of Stilton’s mum Roo making sure it’s properly scented 😂

My little Joy also arrived with some treats and a sort of 'Good Puppy Guide' which opened with the words 'We ask so much of our dogs'.
I had very much liked her breeders from the first telephone conversation, then the first visit to the pups and the detailed information that came with her made it very clear how much they cherished their pups and wanted them to have good lives. I like to think that they would be very happy to see the lovely girl who my GGJ has grown up to be, and to know how very much loved she is. I hope you have a similar journey with your gorgeous little Stilton, it's hard work, puppy business, but really doesn't last that long in the great scheme of things and is so worthwhile, once that funny pup becomes Your Dog.

It was good, he’s such a sweet pup. We’d planned to do 3 hour wake ups, but Stilton squeaked to go out after 2 hours and was an angel - we’ve been sleeping in shifts, so a slightly tired household and some tweaks to make to his nighttime set up but all is well.
