I am so sorry for Harley and you. Thoughtless and pointless behaviour, why don't their parents teach them properly, it makes me so mad. I really hope Harley is improving. Paws take such a long time to heal. Lots of hugs to you both from us. xxxx
We've just had a very slow short stroll up and back down our cul de sac (9 houses long so not far). She enjoyed getting out but was very calm compared to usual. We took it really slow as she was limping a bit. Going to try and do this once or twice a day just so she gets out a bit. At least it is giving her some ‘sniff time’.
She’s still sleeping a lot and not playful, but hopefully that will change over the coming week.
Unfortunately I’m off to Germany on Friday but my OH is going to be home whilst I’m gone for the 7 days with work.
@Naya, while Merlin's foot was so bad we sometimes popped him in the car and took him to the local common, so he could wander about slowly off the lead and have a good sniff (and also a poo; he doesn't like to poo while on the lead!). It really seemed to cheer him up - just 10 minutes slowly pottering about, sniffing different things to the garden.
Oh poor Harley - just catching up. Hope you have a positive trip to the vet tomorrow and that the infection is clearing up. Not surprising she hasn't been interested in walks but you'll know when she is ready, and interested, in doing more x
Been to the vets and had a bandage change. Managed to get a photo (below) after they cleaned it. The bandages were yucky ?.
We had a short wander around near the vets for 5 mins so she could sniff lots and she’s had her monthly massage this afternoon. I think it’s going to be a while before she’s back to herself.
