Taken the plunge again

Big Stan has nice kickable poos. He does these things to make my life hell on purpose I’m sure. He’s done it twice now - both times on the couch.

I bought a throw after the first time since I had to get the couch professionally cleaned because I was so paranoid it still stunk - he did it again and it went through the throw onto the couch. OH finds it hilarious while I’m there borking and hysterical and Stanleys just like what is that weirdo doing now ?

The tug toy was a brilliant idea @Boogie , it gave us some wonderful entertainment. Toffee decided to take the toy all for himself but Ripple wasn't having that, so we ended up with Toffee in his bed on one end of the tuggie with Ripple on the other towing Toffee and the bed round and round the room . We were all laughing so much we didn't manage to get a photo or video .

Me and my daughter then took Ripple out for a game of swimmy fetch, and an ice cream as we thought he deserved it.

I think the anal gland thing depends on the dog to some extent. My lot are all fed the same and all have good kickable poos. W&S have never, ever, expressed their glands in my presence. Luna does every now and again. There's no inflammation or impacting, and she's normally very good at cleaning it up herself.

@Selina27 anal glands are the scent glands. Why we use "anal" instead of "scent" is beyond me - "scent" sounds so much nicer!

You'll know if it happens @Lab_adore, very fishy, you can't mistake it for anything else.

I only learnt it when Xena was at the vet's having them expressed. It's really obvious when you think about it. I knew dogs communicated information by sniffing butts, but I didn't realise that the act of sniffing a butt causes said butt to produce a puff of scent. It's amazing!

@SteffiS it really sounds like Ripple's doing remarkably well *touch wood* Wee Toffee won't be able to squeeze under the table legs for long!
