She decided today was the day to get her bikini wet!

She always gets the swimmy thing for me from the edge of the reservoir after Spencer abandons it, and I give her a treat for bringing it to me. This time she decided she wanted it enough to swim for it! That’s Spencer bringing up the rear and pinching it off her.

Yay! The first of many swims I hope!

She had her first swim at six months old - I took her to a doggy swimming pool. I was worried as we always walk by reservoirs and I wanted her to learn to swim. (I know, I know, I knew nothing about Labs! )

She seemed to enjoy it but I think it put her off as she hadn’t chosen to do it. This time it was her decision entirely. I also hope it’s the first of many, I love to see dogs enjoying swimming.
