This evening was short and sweet after a night out with my chums :)
We worked more on comfort with Kipper’s front left foot being handled - toe holding and handling, with the dremel (still off) in the other hand. All went well, Kipper is seeming to really enjoy the physical contact which is lovely.
We’re very hands on generally, but this is different as it’s more of a ‘now, I’m concentrating on your feet’ sort of thing which in the past has made him a bit on edge and flighty. So far this challenge is paying dividends, thank you @Emily_Babbelhund x

Carbon now thinks it's a good thing to have his front paws handled, so thanks back to you @HAH . When a friend came to visit and sat in the 'clipper game spot', he even insisted that she hold his front left paw (his trickiest one), which I thought was funny. He wasn't pawing at her, just laying his paw in her hand to be held. She couldn't figure it out until I explained. :D

The best toothpaste I ever tried and have stuck with is Dorwest Roast Dinner. It's a putty so lasts for months. I gave up on Logic as it's too expensive and doesn't last long with two dogs. When you get to a point of getting it on Lilly's teeth it kind of foams so stays on their teeth longer. Charlie's teeth are gleaming white at almost 9 years old, Hattie's aren't as white but still good considering she is nearly 12. I highly recommend it.

I started with just whatever they well at the pet shop here in Regensburg (forgot the brand), then I grabbed some Logic in the UK at my vet's. While I feel better about Logic and feel it's a better toothpaste, Carbon definitely liked the flavour of the cheap stuff better. :sneaky:

I love what the Logic does for my dogs' teeth, and my dogs far prefer it to the cheapy Beaphar one I started off with. I find a tube lasts me a good six weeks, even with four dogs, so as much as it's expensive in relation to other brands, it's not as if it really breaks the bank. I buy several tubes at a time from Amazon when I'm visiting the UK and it's been under £8 a tube each time. It's more expensive when I order from here - it works out just over £11 a tube. I would say compare it to the cost of a bottle of wine, but that doesn't work so well here, with wine being so cheap :D
I like it's non-abrasive, with dogs' enamel being so fragile.

The Dorwest one looks interesting, but it sounds a bit more of a faff with it not being in a tube. I might try it next time I'm in the UK.

The cost of Logic didn't put me off as the 'cheap' German stuff was about the same price. I like that it came with the @snowbunny stamp of approval. :D

I'd give the Dorwest a try as well. Do you know what the ingredients are, @Charlie ? All I could find on their website was 'sage and liver flavour' which isn't really an ingredients list.

No I don't. Just looked on their website but that's the list of ingredients. You could email them. Is it any worse than Logic's ingredients? x
Oh no, wasn't commenting on it being worse or better ingredients-wise...I was just curious. I'm a big one for reading all the ingredients...even when I don't know what some of them are! :sneaky:

@snowbunny did you realise that Logic is "Orozyme" in Europe? I've just put in an order for Carbon for Florentero and saw this: Orozyme Zahnpflege Gel | Hund | Pflege | Zahnpflege von Petissimo

Hah, the first thing I did was look for ingredients 😂

. Is it any worse than Logic's ingredients?
That’s the thing... the manufacturers of Logic list the active ingredients, Dorwest doesn’t provide that information. That’s always a bit of an alarm bell.

They seem to be a good company producing natural and herbal products. I think there's a lot of crap on the market with a lot of unknown ingredients that I have no idea what they are. Dorwest invite any questions if anyone's interested. I find it to be superior to Logic which is my personal experience :) x

Yesterday we did a micro session handling front and back toes. Kipper was quite restless (it was earlier in the evening than usual) so we didn’t do much, but he kept volunteering his front feet afterwards!
