The Garden Centre this morning !

Its a lovely place , selling veg plants plus the usual array of flowers trees and shrubs along with a huge gift and book section . Dogs are allowed and so I decided that we would go to get our tomato plants , take the dogs and have a wander around . I had visions of posting a photo or two , showing how good Reuben had been , walking nicely and then maybe sitting outside for a coffee and piece of cake, him settles so nicely under the table , how deluded can you get !!
On entering the place , I clocked a huge display of garden ornaments which drew his attention immediately , tail wagging furiously and in danger of sending the display flying , move on quickly . It took about two minutes to dawn on me that this wasnt going to be a happy relaxed visit , so instead I sent Debbie off for the toms and growbags , whilst I walked the lad around the car park , whereupon he began to lose his lunatic tendencies and actually settled by a water trough , until a member of staff walked by with a load of trays of eggs , exit stage right !
So , sorry but no boasting photo , no settled boy under the table but its a start ! xxx

This is what Carbon's SD trainer keeps telling me about asking him to do university-level tasks when he is still in grammar school. You and I are both guilty of that with our boys. But we're also both trainable.

You got him into the car park to something that was still challenging but that he could handle and it sounds like he did really well...even avoiding egg-ageddon!

Discretion is the better part of valor - You did right and walking around the carp park was excellent experience for him. And he settled! Result!
