So relieved that you have arrived , been thinking of you xx
Thank you, Kate. ❤ I've been seriously grumpy but got here safely (remembering to drive on the right was very challenging this time!) and that's all that matters. Right now I don't want to be in Germany, don't want to do all the stuff that has to be done the next month, and am generally acting like a stroppy toddler who needs a nap. But I shall adjust - probably in only a few days - and think I was very silly to feel like this at all. By the way, Carbón absolutely bounced his way out of the car park to our apartment, he's thrilled to be here. That's the right attitude! 🥰

I didn’t realise you were driving ALL the way in one go! Glad you arrived safely. The apartment looks so inviting, like an old friend. Hope you both had a great rest.

Oooooo ML is still grumpy today! It all started out so well. A nice breakfast and morning walk for me, peanut butter in my puzzle bowl, and then she was off to the dentist to get her tooth fixed (a piece broke off while we were still in the UK). She was very brave and the appointment was very quick - que bien! But once she was out on the street again and over her 'medical stuff' panic, she realised that they'd "fixed" the wrong tooth que mal! Pfft!

Aye carumba, but that is life. The rest of the day is for organising and maybe a nice nap. Tomorrow we will worry about teeth again.

My house is all cosy again, que bien! All my babies are out and accessible, @Jacqui-S ’s pillow is back out (I am not allowed to walk around with THAT), and ML has arranged her cabinet of tiny treasures (aka the We Miss Cornwall Already shelves). Ojalá, I believe we will do very well here, now I just wait for ML’s mood to catch up with my gentlemanly canine superiority.

Love the green dog bag @Emily_Babbelhund
I got that at Mole Valley in St Columb, first year in Cornwall. It holds all my art stuff (pencils, pens, brushes). 😊

LOL I wad impressed by the multicoloured crochet dog 🐕 🤣
That's Juanito, he's from a children's shop in Paris. He's been all over with me for the past 16 (!) years, as has "his dog" (the little white crocheted dog) from California and the brown bear Dante from Germany. Dante I bought for myself to take with me to chemo treatments, ergo his name (he leads you through the levels of hell and back out again). I had a little stuffed dog when I was in the hospita l after my train accident that I'd focus on during dressing changes, so I knew having something similar in Germany would really help. I'm sure all the stoical German ladies that I was in the chemo rooms with thought I was a nut job to carry a bear around with me, but I still brought him each and every time. Dante still gets drafted in if I'm having a bad day, he's just a very comforting little fellow! ❤

Vale, ok, mis amigos, I am ringing the alarm bell. ML and I did NADA today, nothing! Si, sí, we did two wee walks but they were so short! ML actually went back home and did work-for-pay work because she could not figure out what to do if we did not have the Coastal Path and our car to adventure in. She also says there are too many people here and no one says "Hola!" to us like they do in Cornwall, so it makes her sad. Pfft! I am missing Cornbeefwall too but we must soldier on! Focus, ML, focus! There are deleeeecious pretzels on the ground to eat and the dastardly neighbourhood cat to bark at. And ok, the people do not tell me I am adorable and pet me as they do in the UK, but as long as ML tells me that I am adorable, I will be ok, sí?

Tomorrow we will try again. I have laid down the law: no work-for-pay work and we walk to the car (it is a 25 minute walk away but through a very odiferous park so I love that) and we go someplace INTERESTING to ML. Vale, there is no beach - the closest beach from here is Venice - but we are sure to find an old castle or nearly-deserted village to explore. These Bavarian people love the Bavarian Forest and it is only a 45 minute drive away, but ML is scared of trees so we never go there. Qué lastima! But we will find something and I will wee on it and it will be GOOD. Cross your paws for us, amigos!

Throwback photo to me two years ago in Normandy, looking oh so guapo yet serious. Qué bien that now I have learned how to smile!
